OFFICE URBAN: I 

OUI designs, builds, and manages a wide spectrum of project types, from small-scale furniture, commercial, and hospitality projects to large-scale urban design and master plans. The practice intends on creating smart, beautiful, and sustainable solutions for contemporary urban spaces and environments.

As an innovative service provider sensitive to the needs of the client, OUI’s partners work closely with a number of industry talents, including artists, branding, consultants, decorators, engineers, fashion, lighting…etc. to provide creative and integrated designs with respect to location, vernacular tradition, and culture.

OUI is a design and build consultancy based in Hong Kong, with projects covering Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Edward Tsui

Founder and Managing Director

Assoc AIA / LEED AP / BEAM Pro / M.Arch (Harvard)

Edward is an award-winning design and business leader, practicing in integrated planning, urban, architectural, and interior design, with over 19 years of experience in geographies covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, United States, South East Asia, and South Korea.

He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. After working in the United States for two years, Edward returned to Hong Kong and started his own design partnership as well as becoming a tutor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Edward decided to further his professional experience through a large company, so he joined EDAW, which eventually merged into AECOM. He was Managing Director for the Guangzhou and Shekou offices, responsible for developing the company's Southern China business. Edward eventually became Managing Director of AECOM's Hong Kong Design Planning + Economics Group and led the group of over 140 in managing and cultivating business through quality and professional delivery of projects, as well as strategic planning and growth.

Currently as the principal for OUI, Edward is passionate in bringing talents together in realizing high quality design and build projects for public and private sectors in the region.
